Edinburgh Festival Fringe
I've worked with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe under a number in guises.
As an employee, as part of the venues team through a year that experienced multiple box office migration issues.
As a partner, where my work at Edinburgh University allowed us to collaborate with two major Fringe venue partners (Pleasance London & Gilded Balloon), converting four of our buildings into Fringe venues for the month of August before having to quickly convert them back for the arrival of 10,000 new students only two weeks later.
This conversion included a complete reinvention of internal and external spaces annually. Annual planning worked towards a united operation with our team hosting all bar, catering, retail and house provisions as well as supporting all technical requirements surrounding press launches and the annually celebrated ‘So you think you’re funny’ finalist party.
I have worked alongside a number of other Edinburgh Festivals including the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Edinburgh International Science Festival, Tradfest and Edinburgh's Hogmanay.
