Between Sep 2008 and Sep 2016, I was the Head of Entertainment & Events for Edinburgh University Students Association.
I led a team of 60 technical production, box office, and admin staff, and was part of the management team that looked after all commercial aspects of the £9m organisation including strategy, positioning and restructures - both physical and organisational.
Designing objectives, monitoring KPIs, writing business cases and post event analysis played a part in my role, as did all aspects of budget management, resource management, negotiations with agencies and event design and execution.
I was solely responsible for programming across all venues, and won awards for my music programming 2 years running at the national Ents Forum Awards.
I passed multiple management technique courses during my time with EUSA.
Strategy frameworks were rolled out to cover restructuring existing bars, implementing new Fringe Festival operations, Entertainment programming and structural builds.
A very happy 8 years with EUSA came to an end due to me relocating to New Zealand.
